Our impact over the years

We are proud to be part of a community committed to halting climate change and reducing inequality. We will continue to work in collaboration with partners, peers and leaders to achieve our mission.

Effecting change

In 2004, the Generation Foundation was established alongside Generation Investment Management. While Generation Investment Management was established to prove the business case for sustainable investing, the Foundation was established to spread the practice beyond the four walls of Generation and help mainstream capital allocators to invest sustainably.

In the earlier years, much of the Foundation’s role was to introduce the idea of sustainable investment to a wider audience. As sustainable investment has become mainstream, the Foundation’s role has changed in response to a rapidly changing landscape. We continually seek to allocate our capital, expertise and networks in the way that will deliver urgent, transformative change for a more sustainable economic system.
