Overview
Data2X is a civil society organization incubated within the UN Foundation. It works with partners to improve the production and use of gender data through strategic partnerships, research, advocacy, and communications.
The full scope of women’s paid and unpaid work, and the time they devote to each, has historically been undermeasured. This lack of data has limited the willingness and capacity of decisionmakers to address unpaid work resulting in it being neglected as a public policy priority.
We are funding Data2X’s work to support countries to collect high-quality gender data, specifically data on women’s labour force participation and time use, to inform improved care policies.
